There are also some great seminars at the Expo that are not to be missed. As many of you know, I am a huge fan of wines from the Finger Lakes. They were just reviewed extensively in Wine Spectator. At the Expo, you will have a chance to learn about Finger Lakes wines as well during the seminar, “The Cool Climate, World Class Wines of the Finger Lakes” on Saturday, March 2 from noon until 1:00 p.m. Tickets for this seminar, as well as the others, can also be purchased at Eventbrite.
I’m thrilled to announce that I am part of the New York Wine Expo‘s official media blogging team. That means you can count on me to be your personal guide for information related to the New York Wine Expo coming up in just four short weeks.
The New York Wine Expo is celebrating its sixth anniversary this year. You will be able to travel around the wine world without leaving New York City’s Javits Center. The Expo will offer over 600 wines for your tasting pleasure, along with food and other lifestyle exhibits. “The Expo is truly a feast for the senses, with wines from every corner of the world represented,” said Ed Hurley, Marketing Director, ResourcePlus Shows & Events. “For anyone who enjoys wine or is a beginner and wants to learn, a day at the Expo is a deliciously fun way to spend time with friends and family.”
The schedule for the Expo is as follows:
Grand Tasting: Friday, March 1, 6pm to 10pm – $85
Grand Tasting: Saturday, March 2, 1pm to 5pm – $95
Trade Only: Sunday, March 3, Noon to 4pm
Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite. Tickets are $15 off if you use the discount code wineblog.
There will also be guest appearances by celebrity chefs, such as David Venable from QVC’s In the Kitchen with David®, as well as special wine and food seminars (for an additional cost) like “Wine 101: Taste Like a Pro” with Wine Spectator’s Director of Education Gloria Maroti Frazee, “California Pinot Noir: Touring The State’s Great Pinot Regions” with David Rossi of Fulcrum Wines, “The Cool Climate, World Class Wines of the Finger Lakes,” and “Italian Cheeses and Wine” with Lou DiPalo, the Cheese Guru of DiPalo’s Fine Foodsin Little Italy, NYC.
Please stay tuned for more information, updates, and opportunities in the next four weeks! Cheers!
